ScoopFree Crystal Plus

Why it is listed

Crystal Plus is the cheap ScoopFree: a shallow rake box and disposable crystal trays. It is on this list because PetSafe still sells it as a self-cleaning box, not because it is the same appliance as a Litter-Robot. Budget buyers who accept tray lock-in and an open pan should start here; everyone else should look up the table.

Pros & cons

Pros

• PetSafe PAL00-18016: after the cat uses it, a rake moves waste into a covered area; crystal trays claimed up to 30 days; a light says when to swap; 28.2×20.4×6.6 in; includes one tray and crystal litter.
• Lowest list price here ($199.99). No app required. 45-day return.
• Crystal litter is 99% dust-free / low-tracking on PetSafe’s page — useful if clay tracking is the actual household problem.

Cons

• Not a globe. Quality score drops because this is a rake-in-tray system locked to official ScoopFree disposable or reusable crystal trays.
• Ongoing tray cost is the product. “5× odor” is PetSafe vs clay, not vs Litter-Robot.
• This SKU page does not publish a kitten weight floor. Crystal Smart’s page says unplug until 6 months — we did not copy that onto Plus as if it were printed here. Open rake in a shallow pan is why safety is 6.
