Tractive DOG 6 XL

Why it is listed

If the dog is over 44 lb and you want a clip, not a Fi collar, XL is the long-battery Tractive. The 6-week claim is with Power Saving Zones. Budget the plan, not just $89.

Pros & cons

Pros

• Tractive dog product page: DOG 6 XL is 3.3×1.9×0.8 in, 2.5 oz, dogs above 44.1 lb, collar width up to 1.6 in, up to 42 days with Power Saving Zones (20 days without), IP68, LTE/4G + Bluetooth + Wi‑Fi, GPS/GLONASS/Galileo.
• Hardware listed at $89 on the same U.S. product page. Plans page: Basic $108/year or $144/2 years; Premium $120/year, $168/2 years, or $300/5 years. 30-day money-back. Cancel at period end after 30 days.
• Named U.S. carriers AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile; works in 175+ countries where 2G and/or LTE Cat-M1 from 500+ partners exists.

Cons

• Battery numbers assume Power Saving Zones. Without them Tractive lists 20 days, not 6 weeks.
• Clip-on on a collar you already own — not a breakaway cat collar, and not an all-in-one band like Fi Series 3+.
• Each tracker needs its own plan. LIVE 2–3 second updates are a plan feature, not a hardware-only mode.
