Tractive CAT 6 Mini

Why it is listed

This is the cat-specific GPS on the list: a real safety-release collar, a published neck range, and a $49 tag. You will charge it weekly if the cat actually goes out. It is not an AirTag in a silicone sleeve.

Pros & cons

Pros

• Cat product page: CAT 6 Mini is collar-integrated with a weight-adjustable safety buckle, 3.7×0.8×0.5 in, 1.1 oz including collar, necks 7.5–9.0 in, cats 6.6–17.6 lb (FAQ also says 3–17.6 lb), IP68, up to 7 days with Power Saving Zones, magnetic charger in the box.
• U.S. hardware $49. Same published Basic/Premium plan table as the dog trackers, including $108/year Basic and 30-day money-back.
• Live GPS, virtual fences, and the same AT&T/Verizon/T-Mobile plus 175+ country language as the dog line. Tractive states it does not diagnose disease.

Cons

• Seven-day battery is the short end of this table. Outdoor cats need a charging habit.
• Neck window 7.5–9.0 in will miss some large-neck cats; the older CAT Mini on the same page lists 7.9–12.2 in instead.
• Safety-release collars can come off in brush — that is the point of a breakaway, and why AVMA still wants a chip.
