Motel 6

Why it is listed

Motel 6 is the economy chain whose official About page still writes a national dog-and-cat policy: two pets, 150 lb combined, leash, no unattended animals. The reservation-policies URL as indexed still says Motel 6 pets stay free and Studio 6 is $10/day capped at $100. Local law can still say no. Open those two Motel 6 pages and call that motel.

Pros & cons

Pros

• motel6.com/pages/policies/about 2026-09-02 (official About, quoted from the live brand page in the search index): Property must comply with the Brand Pet Policy except where prohibited by law. No more than two pets per room, combined weight 150 lbs or less. A Pet is a domesticated/tame dog or cat. ADA service animals always welcome. Declare animals at check-in; Brand Pet Policy and Disclaimer presented for signature. Animals should not be left alone in a room or automobile. Outside the room: leash or travel carrier. Management may remove animals that pose a health/safety risk, damage, disruption, or aggression. Housekeeping: owner and animal out of the room. Guest liable for cleaning/repair.
• motel6.com/pages/policies/reservation-policies (official URL; search index 2026-09-02): At Motel 6 / Studio 6, service animals and well-behaved pets always stay free (Studio 6 locations require a $10.00 per day pet fee to a maximum of $100.00 per stay). Service animals always welcome at no charge. Pet limit of 2 pets per room. Some municipalities forbid pets other than service animals.
• motel6.com/deals/6064 official: over 1,400 locations across the U.S. and Canada; book on Motel6.com or the My6 App.

Cons

• This environment’s fetch of motel6.com HTML timed out/empty. Policy bullets above are from the official About and reservation-policies URLs as returned by the search index — not a third-party blog. Re-open those two URLs before you travel. We do not invent a third fee.
• Studio 6 is not free on that reservation-policies quote. Local law can forbid pets. Combined 150 lb is not ‘no size limit.’
• A brand policy is not this address. Declare the pet. Do not leave the animal unattended. Confirm the property. This is not a kennel.
