Why it is listed

This is the crash-cert crate on the table: CPS lists three G1 sizes, and Gunner sells the strap kit those tests used. You pay for mass and you do not get a fold. Buy it for car travel with the right size and straps, not as a living-room puppy den.

Pros

• gunner.com G1 page: only double-walled kennel on that page, USA-made, lifetime manufacturer warranty (original owner; chew damage excluded), 30-day returns, drain plug, reversible paddle-latch door with backup top/bottom latches, built-in stainless tie-down pins.
• Center for Pet Safety certified list (checked 2026-09-02): G1 Small, Medium, Intermediate. Gunner states those three are 5-star when used with GUNNER tie-down straps (sold separately). Exterior sizes S 24.5×18.6×19 in (27 lb) through L 40.25×28×33.25 in (72 lb).
• Listed from $550 (Small) to $900 (Large) on 2026-09-02. Airline language is “meets requirements if you follow airline rules”; weight of crate+dog has turned some customers away.

Cons

• Does not fold. Empty weight 27–72 lb. No puppy divider. Tie-down strap kit is extra and is the only strap Gunner recommends for the CPS result.
• Large is sold on the same page and is not on the CPS certified list. Certification is size- and install-specific, not a blanket “crash-proof dog.”
• A crate does not replace walks or a midday break (Humane World: adult dogs generally not left more than 4–5 hours; never as punishment).
