  • trashlockers.com Trash Lock Original PDP 2026-09-07: $24.95, many in stock. Two straps per order with installation hardware. High-strength polyester; buckles ~300 lb-force break; stainless nuts and bolts. One-hand undo/re-secure after install.
  • PDP states properly installed straps keep rats, dogs, raccoons, possums, and other animals out; makes black-bear access difficult (Ultimate kit is the certified bear-resistant retrofit).
  • Manufacturer product (Primacy Solutions). Free USPS shipping called out on the storefront this pass. No subscription.

Cons

  • Permanent bolt-on install — not no-tools. Plan drill time; not ideal for a rental indoor kitchen can.
  • Outdoor hinged carts. Not an indoor soft-close kitchen trash can. Occasional vs frequent bear guidance points buyers to Ultimate ($44.95) for heavy bear pressure.
  • Does not stop a puppy inside the house from opening a unlocked indoor bin.
