Pros & cons

Pros

• store.blazerbrand.com Strong Strap PDP 2026-09-07: $34.99, in stock. Model BSSK1R1 starter kit. Fits most 32–96 gallon outdoor waste containers with a handle. No tools required — loop, screw, and snap. Lock/unlock with one hand. 1-year limited warranty.
• Maker pest table on the same PDP rates Dogs: Excellent (also raccoons Good–Excellent, bears Poor–Good; not recommended as bear-proof for brown/grizzly; two straps suggested for black bears with upright can).
• Sold by the manufacturer (Blazer Brand LLC, Pittsburgh). Free shipping called out on the storefront this pass. No subscription required.

Cons

• This is an outdoor cart lid lock. It is not a soft-close indoor kitchen step can and will not stop a puppy that tips a lightweight indoor bin.
• Maker says results vary with cart quality; recommends a rigid lid that is hard to bend. Not a people-proof lock or keyed security.
• Install still needs a handle on the can. Auto / collection rules may require releasing the strap on trash day — Blazer documents AUTO and open-before-pickup options separately.
