Petco Grooming

Why it is listed

Petco is the national chain that prints a bath-from-$24 table, a vaccine list, and a kennel-dryer rule. The true price is after booking. They do use kennel dryers except on named brachycephalic breeds. Meet that groomer. Cats are call-ahead, not a dedicated PDP.

Pros & cons

Pros

• petco.com/s/dog-grooming 2026-09-02 names dog baths, haircuts, nail trimming, and teeth-brushing. Size table: bath only starts at $24 (X-small 1–10 lbs) through $51 (XX-large 100+ lbs); bath & haircut starts at $46 through $97. The same page says pricing is based on local market, size, and hair length, and the true price can only be quoted after completing online booking.
• Vaccines named: dogs under 16 weeks — at least two puppy starter sets including distemper, hepatitis, and parvovirus; 16 weeks and older — rabies. Cats under 16 weeks — parvovirus, herpesvirus type-1, calicivirus; 16 weeks+ rabies. 24-hour wait after any vaccine. Kennel-dryer policy named: air drying, towel drying, non-heated handheld, and kennel dryers; kennel dryers not allowed for brachycephalic breeds (Bulldogs, English Bulldogs, Pugs, Boxers, Boston Terriers, Shih Tzus).
• Online booking on petco.com and the Petco app. Store/salon locator is part of booking. Packages (bath vs bath & haircut, add-ons) are named on the national page.

Cons

• From-price is a starts-at table, not a promise this ZIP is $24. The page says the true price is only after booking. We quote the published floor and still tell you to finish the estimator.
• They use kennel dryers on some dogs. The named rule is a brachycephalic exception, not a cage-dryer ban. National dog page does not name a no-sedation rule or a matted-coat / first-groom stop policy we can score. Those safety points are zero.
• Cats: call your salon to confirm a cat groomer — there is no dedicated national cat-grooming PDP, so we did not add a Petco cat row. A national brand is not this stylist. Meet the groomer. Ask about cage dryers, sedation, breed cuts, and cat handling.
