• Published ad prices: Breeder Directory Ad-Month $9.99; Ad-Annual $99.99 — members only; ads subject to CKC approval; content guidelines (no other registries in ads, no false claims) on Website Advertising.
• Preferred Breeder Program page documents a higher optional tier with microchip/DNA ID, purchase agreements, Code of Ethics acknowledgment, and health-screening documentation — or a written statement that health screenings were not performed.

Cons

• Basic directory inclusion is a paid member advertisement, not a Good Dog-style standards questionnaire. Preferred Breeder explicitly allows disclosing that health screenings were not performed — that cannot score as a breed-specific health-testing requirement for listing.
• Periodic kennel-inspection language from older summaries was not present on the Preferred Breeder page capture 2026-09-07; we do not invent inspections. Pending if CKC USA restores that wording.
• A Continental listing is not proof of ethical breeding. Ask for health results. Compare with AKC/UKC/Good Dog gates. A directory is not a veterinary exam.
