Best large U.S. registry litter marketplace with published listing prices and optional Breeder of Merit / Bred with H.E.A.R.T. badges. An AKC Marketplace ad is not automatic proof of ethical breeding — filter for program badges and verify health tests yourself. AKC says it does not endorse breeders.

• marketplace.akc.org and AKC FAQ: search for AKC-registrable puppies by breed and state or breed and zip-code radius. shop.akc.org Marketplace for Breeders 2026-09-07: Annual $119/year, Monthly $12/month + $25 signup, Single Litter $45/90 days; in-platform messenger; kennel profile; buyer pre-screening questionnaire tools named on plan cards.
• Optional overlays with published requirements: Breeder of Merit (parent-club health screens certified, 5 years AKC events, titles on ≥4 dogs, AKC club membership, 100% individual puppy registration) gets free litter listings, priority placement, and BOM badge on Marketplace. Bred with H.E.A.R.T. (parent-club health screens certified, Care and Conditions Policy including AKC inspections, annual education) gets favorable Marketplace positioning and logo on listings.
• Published listing USD on the official shop page. AKC Answer Center FAQ states plainly that AKC does not license, endorse, or recommend breeders while still pointing buyers to Marketplace and Parent Club referral.

Cons

• A paid Marketplace litter listing is an AKC-registrable advertising product — not the same gate as Good Dog’s community-standards questionnaire for every seller. We do not invent universal health-test verification for all Marketplace rows.
• BOM and H.E.A.R.T. are optional. Buyers must filter/look for those badges; presence of an AKC litter ad alone is not a quality score. marketplace.akc.org itself is heavily JS-rendered — we cite FAQ + shop + program pages for requirements.
• Meet the breeder. Ask for parent-club health results (OFA/CHIC as applicable). Registration papers are not a veterinary exam.
