$200 exam

Why it is listed

Use BlueSky when you live in one of the listed metros and want a published exam fee plus a page that admits this is not ER, surgery, or X-ray. Check the booking tool for your address. It is not Vetster on Zoom and not The Vets, which shut down in 2025.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • blueskyathomevetcare.com 2026-09-02: veterinarians come to the door for scheduled in-home care. Services page names wellness and preventative care (core and lifestyle vaccinations, vaccine titer testing, annual parasite screening, microchipping, wellness and baseline blood work) and sick visits (in-home lab sampling, blood pressure, dermatology, chronic-disease management, minor wound management). Pricing block names Basic Wellness Visit $200 medical exam; Adult Canine/Feline Wellness Visit $260-$510; Senior Canine/Feline Wellness Visit $325-$545; Sick Visit $200+; $100 discount on each additional pet patient in a single visit. Puppy/Kitten Wellness Package up to $1,000. Euthanasia $500-$1,030 is listed separately — this row scores wellness/sick house calls, not as an end-of-life-only brand.
  • Named DVMs on official pages: Chief Veterinary Officer Chad Harris, DVM (Dallas); COO Lyndsey Kingsley, DVM; Boston team veterinarian Dr. Ann Sidley, DVM (Tufts). Booking: Book an appointment links to app.blueskyathomevetcare.com/check-service. Locations page lists Austin, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Nashville, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego, Seattle, Tampa, plus a waitlist if your city is missing.
  • Services page Emergency Care & After-Hours Support: does not provide emergency or overnight hospitalization; if the pet is experiencing an emergency, contact the nearest 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital immediately (or 911 if human safety is at risk). Urgent concerns outside normal appointment hours: contact a local emergency veterinary hospital. Explicitly does not provide 24-hour emergency services, overnight hospitalization, emergency surgery, or continuous critical care monitoring. Same page: able to provide nearly any veterinary service at home except surgical procedures and advanced diagnostics like X-rays. If emergency care or hospitalization is needed during or after an appointment, the team may recommend transfer to a local emergency hospital. Some state blocks name a referral hospital (example: DoveLewis in Portland); others still say emergency referral information coming soon.

Cons

  • A city on the locations list is not a same-day slot in your ZIP. Confirm service with the booking checker. A June 2026 ReadiVet merger release said Nashville in-home visits were temporarily paused while BlueSky recruited a local team; the current locations page still lists Nashville — we do not invent whether your Nashville ZIP is bookable today.
  • No membership USD on the pricing block. Vaccines, diagnostics, and medications are extra on top of the $200 exam. Typical wellness ranges printed as $200-$545 or more. We did not time waits.
  • This is not an ER and not a surgery/X-ray hospital. The Vets / BetterVet / HomewardVet are not this company. BlueSky says it holds some of those records; it is not those closed brands.
