Pros & cons
Pros
- auravetcare.com 2026-09-02: mobile veterinary care based in Fredericksburg for dogs, cats, horses, and farm animals. our-team names Dr. Lindsey Aebli. Services: general veterinary care (wellness, vaccinations, microchip, parasite screening, labwork, chronic illness and pain management) plus farm and equine visits plus end-of-life/hospice. This row scores the wellness/sick house-call menu, not as an euthanasia-only brand.
- dogs-cats-care: wellness exams ranging from $110-$140; vaccinations $45-$60; microchip $75 including one year of registration; parasite screening $30-$50; labwork dependent on tests ordered. They review recommendations and pricing before care is provided. Request a visit via form, call, or email; they confirm details and prepare an estimate.
- farm-equine-veterinary-care: when care is needed beyond on-site capability — surgery, advanced imaging, or hospitalization — they coordinate referrals with trusted partners. Service area named: Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, Caroline, King George, Stafford, Orange, Culpeper, Louisa, Madison, Fauquier, Prince William, Rappahannock, and Warren. Primary service area is a driving radius; some nearby locations may still be accommodated.
Cons
- We did not find an official “go to an emergency hospital” line or published clinic hours on the consumer pages we used. Safety ER and after-hours points are zero. Referral for surgery/imaging/hospitalization is not the same as a 24/7 ER name.
- Virginia counties only. A named county is not a guaranteed same-week slot. Farm/equine prices are a different menu ($100-$140 wellness on that page).
- End-of-life is on the same site. If you only need hospice/euthanasia, that is a different shopping problem than a vaccine visit.
