Coolaroo Original Elevated Dog Bed

Why it is listed

Buy this when you want air under the dog and a hose instead of a washing machine. GREENGUARD and a 5-year fabric warranty are on the Coolaroo page. It is not 7-inch foam. Size by weight cap, not by looks roomy.

Pros & cons

Pros

• coolaroousa.com Original PDP: powder-coated stainless steel frame, HDPE knitted tape/mono fabric, lifts ~8 in, 360° airflow, GREENGUARD certified for low emissions, 5-year fabric warranty vs UV cracks/splits/tears, 1-year frame warranty, replacement covers sold.
• Four published sizes with weight caps: Small/Standard 50 lb, Medium 75 lb, Large 100 lb, XL 150 lb. Medium Nutmeg listed $31.99 (was $39.99) and Large Aquatic Blue $35.99 (was $44.99) on 2026-09-02. Tools included; assembly required.
• Hose off and air dry. FAQ: suitable for seniors because suspension plus 8 in access. Fabric blocks up to 95% UV per the maker page.

Cons

• Not foam. Do not machine-wash, tumble-dry, bleach, or iron. Chewing the mesh is a vet-call hazard (maker: do not let dogs chew; contact a veterinarian if they ingest fabric).
• Some sagging is normal; wrong size sags more. 1-year frame vs 5-year fabric. No 90-night in-home trial on the pages we opened.
• Indoor-only households that want a plush nest should not buy a patio cot because it scored well on wash-off.
