How Pet Standings ranks products for pet owners

What a ranking on this site means today, including empty scores and placeholder buy links.

Lists are real. Scores often are not yet.

Each category has a named list of products or services pet owners actually shop for. Until editors finish a category, overall scores stay at zero. Zero is not a hidden ten. It means the rubric has not been applied.

We do not send you to example.com.

Stub rows still use placeholder buy URLs in the JSON. The public site will not treat those as affiliate click-throughs. When a real merchant or network URL exists, links go through /go with UTM tags.

No invented vets or testimonials.

Named expert reviewers, quotes, and buy buttons appear only when they are real. Methodology boxes credit the Pet Standings Editorial Team unless a consented editor is on staff for that category.

Images stay empty until they are pet photos we host.

public/images is leftover parent-site baby gear. Ranking cards use a letter fallback rather than those files. Do not hotlink manufacturer CDNs.
